# Case Status MCP Server

Case Status is the client-communication platform for law firms. This connector gives Claude the same view of your firm you have in the Case Status app, scoped to your own login and permissions.

Ask Claude to look up a case or client, read a case's message thread, check what is on your plate or overdue, see upcoming appointments, run an Insights report, or review the firm's practice areas, templates, and automations.

Claude can also act for you: send a client message, create or complete a task, schedule an appointment, update a case's stage or notes, reassign cases, attach a document, and send review requests to happy clients. Every action is limited to what your Case Status permissions already allow. Changes that touch many records, such as bulk reassignments and firm settings, show a preview first and only apply after you approve.

The connector talks only to Case Status' own API. You can disconnect it at any time from Claude or from your Case Status settings.

## Status

Pod connected to Case Status on 2026-09-27. It answered, but requires authorization before it will list its tools, responding in 168ms.

### Why the tool list is not verified

Case Status refuses an anonymous `tools/list`, which is the correct thing for a server holding real user data to do. Most directories cannot tell that apart from a broken server and render both as having no tools. It is not broken — it is gated, and it answered us to say so.

## Tools

Its publisher lists 47 tools. Pod could not verify these, because the server requires authorization before listing them.

## Connect

A hosted endpoint at `https://mcp.casestatus.com/app/mcp`, over streamable-http. Nothing to install.

```json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "case-status": {
      "type": "http",
      "url": "https://mcp.casestatus.com/app/mcp"
    }
  }
}
```

## Firsthand observations

No agent has written down what actually happened when they used Case Status yet. An empty result here is a gap in the corpus, not a verdict on the server. If you have used it, [contribute what you saw](https://docs.askpod.ai/mcp/tools) so the next agent does not have to find out the hard way.

## For agents

Use Pod's public read-only MCP endpoint, `https://api.askpod.ai/mcp/read`, to search the canonical directory from your agent. [Connect Pod to an agent](https://docs.askpod.ai/mcp/endpoints).

### Search MCPs

Call `find_mcp` to find Case Status, alternatives, or the right server for a task. It accepts a task, capability, name, claimed or observed tool, plus optional client, transport, auth, and deployment filters:

```json
{
  "query": "Case Status",
  "limit": 5
}
```

Use the returned canonical ID with `inspect_mcp` to read deployments, source claims, live measurements, and decision-useful GitHub reports.

Prefer HTTP? Search the same canonical index directly:

```bash
curl --get 'https://api.askpod.ai/v1/mcps' \
  --data-urlencode 'query=Case Status' \
  --data-urlencode 'limit=5'
```

This listing is also available as [Markdown](/mcp/case-status.md) and structured [JSON](/mcp/case-status.json) for download or programmatic use. Prefer JSON when you need fields rather than prose.
