Community Pulse gives Claude live, sourced access to New Zealand's regional statistics — turning a data warehouse into plain-English answers you can trust. Ask something like "how many people work in manufacturing in the Waikato region?" and Claude runs a real, structured query and returns an actual figure, never a guess from memory.

The catalog spans the themes that shape understanding of a New Zealand place — economy and employment, public safety, population and housing, cost of living, and the environment — and grows over time, so what's covered is always available live through the connector, not fixed here.

### Why the tool list is not verified

Community Pulse refuses an anonymous `tools/list`, which is the correct thing for a server holding real user data to do. Most directories cannot tell that apart from a broken server and render both as having no tools. It is not broken — it is gated, and it answered us to say so.
