OS - Mac, macbook pro m3. 
Steps followed to setup:
1. Git clone https://github.com/haris-musa/excel-mcp-server.git
2. cd to excel-mcp-server folder
3. ran this command.  "uv pip install -e ."
4. Used the below claud config( i have added directory args to specific the location of the git clone of this project)
