Use case

The HTTP Docker image explicitly runs with MCP_SESSION_MODE=stateless, while a direct source launch with the variable unset uses mcp-ts-core's auto setting, which currently resolves to stateful. .env.example also omits auto from the accepted values and incorrectly documents stateful as the default. Users need the documented project configuration and Docker configuration to agree on the intended stateless posture.

feat(finnhub_get_news): return the full fetched market-news response

Use case

finnhub_get_news in market mode fetches the entire current Finnhub market-news response and then silently slices it to the schema's 50-article cap. A sanitized live general response on 2026-08-30 contained 100 distinct articles, so callers cannot request the whole response that the existing single upstream call already obtained.

feat(finnhub_get_earnings): filter calendar mode by symbol

Use case

In v0.1.3, finnhub_get_earnings accepts symbol but explicitly ignores it in calendar mode. Finnhub's calendar endpoint supports an optional symbol filter, so callers cannot ask for one company's scheduled release without receiving and locally truncating a market-wide window.

Proposed behavior

Pass a supplied calendar-mode symbol to GET /calendar/earnings; omit the query key entirely when the input is absent. Do not serialize the string undefined.

Description

finnhub_search_symbols accepts any non-empty query, but Finnhub's /search endpoint accepts at most 20 characters. The service reclassifies only HTTP 401 errors, so a longer query reaches the upstream API and its HTTP 422 is exposed through the framework's generic fetch-error path.

feat(finnhub_get_quote): expose market session and holiday status

Use case

finnhub_get_quote already fetches /stock/market-status?exchange=US beside the quote, but v0.1.3 returns only marketOpen. Finnhub's current response also reports the market session and a holiday event, so callers cannot distinguish a pre-market or post-market quote from an ordinary closure or named market holiday.
