`tests/upload-flow.test.ts` (added in #147) exercises the whole loop — mint → PUT → `r2_key` → generation via `images_r2_keys` — but against `tests/fixtures/blob-gateway.ts`, an in-process fake. That fake is a real verifier (it re-derives every signature from the four payload shapes, reads content type from the request *header*, checks signature before expiry), and it catches the bug class it was written for: pointing the minter at the old host turns 10 of its 15 tests red.

### gemini_get_upload_url failed once on the new host with no diagnosable error — root cause never found

After the re-host from `connector.gemini.nullnet.app` to `mcp.nullnet.app`, the first call to `gemini_get_upload_url({ filename: "family-carter-finley.jpg", content_type: "image/jpeg" })` failed with:

### Idempotency for re-issued generation calls after a client timeout

From field feedback (2026-07-06): when an MCP host times out a long generation (`-32001`) the server-side job usually completes anyway, so re-issuing the same call risks a **duplicate billable generation**.

Shipping mitigations (timeout-recovery PR) reduce the need to re-issue: heartbeats prevent most host timeouts, and the tool description now tells callers to check the output dir / sidecar before re-issuing. But there is still no server-side guard.

### Async job pattern for long generations (job_id + poll tool, detectable completion)

From field feedback (2026-07-06): when a 4K/Pro generation outruns the MCP host's `tools/call` timeout, the caller gets `-32001` and has **no way to tell whether the job actually finished** short of polling the output dir with `ls`.

Mitigations shipping in the timeout-recovery PR:

- progress heartbeats (`notifications/progress`) so hosts that reset their timeout on progress don't `-32001` at all;

### Cross-platform from_clipboard (Windows + Linux)

## Summary
Extend `from_clipboard` image ingestion (added in #12) to **Windows and Linux**. Today it's **macOS-only** — on other platforms it throws a clean `McpToolError("from_clipboard is only supported on macOS")`.

### Files API upload for non-YouTube video input (video-to-image)

## Summary
Support **non-YouTube video** as a video-to-image input via the Gemini **Files API** upload flow. Today `video_url` only accepts a public **YouTube** URL (`gemini_generate_image` / `gemini_interact`), which is all that was wired in #7.
