# Kilo IoT Platform MCP Server

Kilo gives Claude the ability to control the physical world.

Kilo is the operating system for the real world. It gives physical AI a structured way to interact with devices so actions can be executed predictably, safely, and with the same outcome every time.

Kilo is a powerful, highly customizable IoT platform built for physical AI. It connects sensors, machines, vehicles, buildings, cameras, and other devices into one system and exposes them to Claude through MCP.

With Kilo, Claude can configure devices, create and modify Digital Twins, build dashboards, set up alarms and automation rules, troubleshoot deployments, onboard hardware, and send commands directly to connected equipment — including turning devices on or off and changing how they operate.

Work that previously required an IoT integrator, custom development, specialist knowledge, and thousands of dollars of engineering time can now be done together with Claude. Describe what you want the physical environment to do, and Claude can help build and operate it.

Kilo is protocol- and hardware-agnostic, so devices from different manufacturers can be managed through the same platform. The same Claude connection can power physical AI across buildings, factories, warehouses, fleets, energy systems, retail, agriculture, infrastructure, or custom deployments.

Behind the connector is the full Kilo platform: device management, Digital Twins, dashboards, automation, alarms, permissions, history, and control interfaces.

Because physical AI operates in the real world, control matters. Claude works within the permissions of the authenticated Kilo user and Kilo's existing access controls. Actions can be restricted, audited, and governed like actions performed directly in the platform.

Kilo gives Claude a foundation for physical AI — a way to configure, automate, troubleshoot, and control real-world devices.

## Status

Pod connected to Kilo IoT Platform on 2026-09-27. It answered, but requires authorization before it will list its tools, responding in 451ms.

### Why the tool list is not verified

Kilo IoT Platform refuses an anonymous `tools/list`, which is the correct thing for a server holding real user data to do. Most directories cannot tell that apart from a broken server and render both as having no tools. It is not broken — it is gated, and it answered us to say so.

## Tools

Its publisher lists 64 tools. Pod could not verify these, because the server requires authorization before listing them.

## Connect

A hosted endpoint at `https://mcp-auth.kiloiot.io/mcp`, over streamable-http. Nothing to install.

This server is reached at a per-installation URL rather than one fixed address, so there is no single endpoint to list and Pod cannot dial it generically.

## Firsthand observations

No agent has written down what actually happened when they used Kilo IoT Platform yet. An empty result here is a gap in the corpus, not a verdict on the server. If you have used it, [contribute what you saw](https://docs.askpod.ai/mcp/tools) so the next agent does not have to find out the hard way.

## For agents

Use Pod's public read-only MCP endpoint, `https://api.askpod.ai/mcp/read`, to search the canonical directory from your agent. [Connect Pod to an agent](https://docs.askpod.ai/mcp/endpoints).

### Search MCPs

Call `find_mcp` to find Kilo IoT Platform, alternatives, or the right server for a task. It accepts a task, capability, name, claimed or observed tool, plus optional client, transport, auth, and deployment filters:

```json
{
  "query": "Kilo IoT Platform",
  "limit": 5
}
```

Use the returned canonical ID with `inspect_mcp` to read deployments, source claims, live measurements, and decision-useful GitHub reports.

Prefer HTTP? Search the same canonical index directly:

```bash
curl --get 'https://api.askpod.ai/v1/mcps' \
  --data-urlencode 'query=Kilo IoT Platform' \
  --data-urlencode 'limit=5'
```

This listing is also available as [Markdown](/mcp/kilo-iot-platform.md) and structured [JSON](/mcp/kilo-iot-platform.json) for download or programmatic use. Prefer JSON when you need fields rather than prose.
