What you can do

  • Create an import file from an export, from your own spreadsheet, or from a description of the change.
  • Update prices, inventory, tags, SEO fields, metafields, product categories, and sales channel publishing in bulk, including per-variant publishing.
  • Create products, customers, orders, and collections in bulk. Upload images and files as part of the import.
  • Look up field references, export filters, metafield definitions and metaobject definitions, markets, locations, and the Shopify product taxonomy.
  • Check job status, download result files, and open Shopify admin links to verify the result.

In addition to the data types that other spreadsheet apps support, Altera imports and exports metafield definitions, metaobject definitions, catalogs, locations, inventory transfers, and translations for every translatable resource, including market-specific translations.
