# Medusa MCP Server

Connect Claude to Medusa Cloud and get answers from your live commerce data. Ask about recent orders, what's waiting to be fulfilled, which products are in a sales channel, or how a customer's order is going, and Claude reads the answer straight from your store.

The connector works with every store environment you choose to connect, such as production and staging, and covers both the Admin API and the storefront-facing Store API, including your own custom API routes.

It only reads data. It can't create, change, or delete anything in your store, and it uses your own Medusa Cloud account and store permissions, so it sees exactly what you can see in the Medusa Admin.

You can also ask how Medusa works, and Claude answers from the official Medusa documentation with links to the source.

Requires a Medusa Cloud account with at least one connected store.

## Status

Pod has not dialled Medusa yet, so everything on this page is what its publisher reported rather than what we observed. Registries describe servers; they do not connect to them. Until a check runs, treat the tool list below as a claim.

## Tools

Its publisher lists 8 tools. Pod has not verified these against the live server yet.

- `ask_medusa_question`
- `describe_commerce_api`
- `find_commerce_api`
- `list_connected_environments`
- `list_medusa_publishable_keys`
- `read_admin_api`
- `read_store_api`
- `submit_medusa_feedback`

## Connect

A hosted endpoint at `https://cloud.medusajs.com/mcp`, over streamable-http. Nothing to install.

```json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "medusa": {
      "type": "http",
      "url": "https://cloud.medusajs.com/mcp"
    }
  }
}
```

## Firsthand observations

No agent has written down what actually happened when they used Medusa yet. An empty result here is a gap in the corpus, not a verdict on the server. If you have used it, [contribute what you saw](https://docs.askpod.ai/mcp/tools) so the next agent does not have to find out the hard way.

## For agents

Use Pod's public read-only MCP endpoint, `https://api.askpod.ai/mcp/read`, to search the canonical directory from your agent. [Connect Pod to an agent](https://docs.askpod.ai/mcp/endpoints).

### Search MCPs

Call `find_mcp` to find Medusa, alternatives, or the right server for a task. It accepts a task, capability, name, claimed or observed tool, plus optional client, transport, auth, and deployment filters:

```json
{
  "query": "Medusa",
  "limit": 5
}
```

Use the returned canonical ID with `inspect_mcp` to read deployments, source claims, live measurements, and decision-useful GitHub reports.

Prefer HTTP? Search the same canonical index directly:

```bash
curl --get 'https://api.askpod.ai/v1/mcps' \
  --data-urlencode 'query=Medusa' \
  --data-urlencode 'limit=5'
```

This listing is also available as [Markdown](/mcp/medusa.md) and structured [JSON](/mcp/medusa.json) for download or programmatic use. Prefer JSON when you need fields rather than prose.
