# opensignup.org MCP Server
OpenSignup makes ad-free, open-source sign-up sheets for snack rotas, potlucks, volunteer shifts, carpools, and anything else where people pick a slot. Participants click a link, choose a slot, and they're done. They never create an account.
With this connector, you describe what you need and Claude builds it:
- Set up a whole signup in one request: "Build me a snack rota for six Saturday games starting 3 October, two families per game."
- Change it as plans change: add, edit, reorder, or remove slots and fields, and set how many people each slot needs.
- Update the title, description, or closing time, and turn reminder emails on or off.
- Publish when you're ready, then close, archive, or delete when you're done.
- See all your signups and how full each slot is.
New signups start as drafts that participants can't see. Claude gives you a preview link to check its work and an edit link to change anything yourself, then the public link to share once you publish.
Claude can't see who signed up: participant names and emails aren't shared with it. Disconnect at any time from Connected apps in your account settings.

## Status

### Why the tool list is not verified
opensignup.org refuses an anonymous `tools/list`, which is the correct thing for a server holding real user data to do. Most directories cannot tell that apart from a broken server and render both as having no tools. It is not broken — it is gated, and it answered us to say so.
