# Qencode MCP Server

Transcoding & streaming — Convert to MP4/WebM, create adaptive HLS/DASH streams, repack containers or add/remove quality levels without re-encoding, and reduce bandwidth with per-title encoding and modern codecs (AV1, HEVC, VP9).

Editing — Trim, stitch, resize, crop, rotate, deinterlace, adjust frame rate or aspect ratio, convert HDR to SDR, remap audio, add watermarks, and manage subtitles or 360°/VR video.

Audio & images — Extract audio (MP3, M4A, FLAC, audio-only HLS), generate thumbnails and sprite sheets with WebVTT seek previews, create GIFs, and let AI pick the best frame.

AI intelligence — Describe, moderate, and search video; ask custom questions; transcribe with speaker labels and timestamps; export and translate subtitles (15 languages); detect AI-generated video; score quality with VMAF; read metadata.

Security — AES-128 encryption, DRM (Widevine, FairPlay, PlayReady), and forensic watermarking.

Storage & delivery — Send outputs to AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, Cloudflare R2, Backblaze, or FTP — multiple destinations per job — plus buckets, time-limited links, URL imports, and temp storage.

Automation — Start jobs from URLs, S3, or uploads; produce multiple outputs in one job (HLS + MP4 + thumbnails + transcript); track progress; get webhooks on completion with auto-retry; and use built-in recipes so AI agents build correct jobs on the first try.
