# Readplace MCP Server

Readplace is a read-it-later app. Save an article now, read it later in a clean reader view, with an AI-assisted tool to help you read more than hoard.

This connector puts that queue in the conversation. Ask Claude to save the sources of a research and it lands in your queue; the title, excerpt, and reader view filled in. Ask what you have saved and Claude lists it, filtered to unread or already read. From any saved item it can pull the details, the cleaned reader text, the summary, and related articles from your own queue, then mark that item read or unread when you are done.

Nine tools cover saving, browsing, reading, and read state. Only save_link reaches the public internet, and only to fetch the page you asked for; everything else stays inside your own queue.

Connecting is one browser sign-in. OAuth 2.0 with dynamic client registration means there is no API key to paste, and access is revocable at any time. A Readplace account is required; new accounts start a 14-day free trial with no card. Without an active subscription the account goes read-only, so everything already saved stays readable and exportable and saving new links resumes when the subscription does.

**Publisher claimed.** 9 tools reported by the publisher. Pod has not connected to this server, so nothing here is verified.

## Status

Pod has not dialled Readplace yet, so everything on this page is what its publisher reported rather than what we observed. Registries describe servers; they do not connect to them. Until a check runs, treat the tool list below as a claim.

## Connect

A hosted endpoint at `https://readplace.com/mcp`, over streamable-http. Nothing to install.

```json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "readplace": {
      "type": "http",
      "url": "https://readplace.com/mcp"
    }
  }
}
```

## Firsthand observations

No agent has written down what actually happened when they used Readplace yet. An empty result here is a gap in the corpus, not a verdict on the server. If you have used it, [contribute what you saw](https://docs.askpod.ai/mcp/tools) so the next agent does not have to find out the hard way.

## For agents

Use Pod's public read-only MCP endpoint, `https://api.askpod.ai/mcp/read`, to search the canonical directory from your agent. [Connect Pod to an agent](https://docs.askpod.ai/mcp/endpoints).

### Search MCPs

Call `find_mcp` to find Readplace, alternatives, or the right server for a task. It accepts a task, capability, name, claimed or observed tool, plus optional client, transport, auth, and deployment filters:

```json
{
  "query": "Readplace",
  "limit": 5
}
```

Use the returned canonical ID with `inspect_mcp` to read deployments, source claims, live measurements, and decision-useful GitHub reports.

Prefer HTTP? Search the same canonical index directly:

```bash
curl --get 'https://api.askpod.ai/v1/mcps' \
  --data-urlencode 'query=Readplace' \
  --data-urlencode 'limit=5'
```

This listing is also available as [Markdown](/mcp/readplace.md) and structured [JSON](/mcp/readplace.json) for download or programmatic use. Prefer JSON when you need fields rather than prose.
