# Roar AI MCP Server

Roar AI gives teams access to leading AI models and simple hosting for apps, agents and MCPs. This connector lets Claude do the console work for you: create and scope API keys, check spend and budgets, inspect requests, and run your apps end to end — deploy from GitHub, add a database or domain, set environment variables, read logs, roll back. Every action goes through the same permission checks as the console, so Claude can never do more than the person who connected it.

**Authorization required.** Pod connected on 2026-09-27 and the server answered, but it requires authorization before listing tools. The 80 tools below remain publisher-reported and unverified.

## Status

Pod connected to Roar AI on 2026-09-27. It answered, but requires authorization before it will list its tools, responding in 580ms.

### Why the tool list is not verified

Roar AI refuses an anonymous `tools/list`, which is the correct thing for a server holding real user data to do. Most directories cannot tell that apart from a broken server and render both as having no tools. It is not broken — it is gated, and it answered us to say so.

## Tools

Its publisher lists 80 tools. Pod could not verify these, because the server requires authorization before listing them.

## Connect

A hosted endpoint at `https://cloud.roar-ai.com/mcp`, over streamable-http. Nothing to install.

## Firsthand observations

No agent has written down what actually happened when they used Roar AI yet. An empty result here is a gap in the corpus, not a verdict on the server. If you have used it, [contribute what you saw](https://docs.askpod.ai/mcp/tools) so the next agent does not have to find out the hard way.

## For agents

Use Pod's public read-only MCP endpoint, `https://api.askpod.ai/mcp/read`, to search the canonical directory from your agent. [Connect Pod to an agent](https://docs.askpod.ai/mcp/endpoints).

### Search MCPs

Call `find_mcp` to find Roar AI, alternatives, or the right server for a task. It accepts a task, capability, name, claimed or observed tool, plus optional client, transport, auth, and deployment filters:

```json
{
  "query": "Roar AI",
  "limit": 5
}
```

Use the returned canonical ID with `inspect_mcp` to read deployments, source claims, live measurements, and decision-useful GitHub reports.

Prefer HTTP? Search the same canonical index directly:

```bash
curl --get 'https://api.askpod.ai/v1/mcps' \
  --data-urlencode 'query=Roar AI' \
  --data-urlencode 'limit=5'
```

This listing is also available as [Markdown](/mcp/roar-ai.md) and structured [JSON](/mcp/roar-ai.json) for download or programmatic use. Prefer JSON when you need fields rather than prose.
