Summary
The list operation for Power BI Desktop models can take 10-20+ minutes when stale Analysis Services workspace directories have accumulated on the machine. MCP Engine attempts to connect to every discovered port, and dead ports cause long connection timeouts that stack up sequentially.

The Chatbot said "I cannot directly control Power BI Desktop through the browser extension". Can't create visuals
I don't understand. Ask the chatbot to create a simple visual. It said I need to install a Chrome extension and log in to Claude in Chrome. Already did it. Then it said, "I cannot directly control Power BI Desktop through the browser extension." What is going on? How does this work exactly? I thought that this would work with PowerBI Desktop locally? Now it says it can't modify things using a Chrome extension. It also said it needs my screenshot of PowerBI Visual. WTF? Does this modify visuals

Vertipaq cache only cleared on first run

Claude will return soon
Hi
I'm trying to install Power BI MCP v. 1.3 Claude desktop is installed, and the Power BI MCP installation makes it to "Requirements - All requirements met"
But then Claude hangs with: " Claude will return soon. Claude is currently experiencing a temporary service disruption. We're working on it , please check back soon."
The message window has a link to https://status.claude.com, where everything is green.
