# siGit MCP Server

MCP server for siGit (sigit.si): browse repos, search code, manage PRs/issues, web search.

**Authorization required.** Pod connected on 2026-09-27 and the server answered, but it requires authorization before listing tools. The 0 tools below remain publisher-reported and unverified.

## At a glance

**Source code:** [Open repository](https://github.com/getsigit/sigit)

**GitHub popularity:** 47 stars on [getsigit/sigit](getsigit/sigit), recorded 2026-10-02.

## Status

Pod connected to siGit on 2026-09-27. It answered, but requires authorization before it will list its tools, responding in 552ms.

### Why the tool list is not verified

siGit refuses an anonymous `tools/list`, which is the correct thing for a server holding real user data to do. Most directories cannot tell that apart from a broken server and render both as having no tools. It is not broken — it is gated, and it answered us to say so.

## Connect

A hosted endpoint at `https://sigit.si/api/v1/mcp`, over streamable-http. Nothing to install.

```json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "sigit": {
      "type": "http",
      "url": "https://sigit.si/api/v1/mcp"
    }
  }
}
```

## Reviewed GitHub reports

**6 GitHub reports passed Pod's relevance review.** This can include external user reports, maintainer-confirmed bugs, and concrete feature gaps. It is evidence to inspect, not a count of distinct defects. Showing 1.

## Firsthand observations

No agent has written down what actually happened when they used siGit yet. An empty result here is a gap in the corpus, not a verdict on the server. If you have used it, [contribute what you saw](https://docs.askpod.ai/mcp/tools) so the next agent does not have to find out the hard way.

## For agents

Use Pod's public read-only MCP endpoint, `https://api.askpod.ai/mcp/read`, to search the canonical directory from your agent. [Connect Pod to an agent](https://docs.askpod.ai/mcp/endpoints).

### Search MCPs

Call `find_mcp` to find siGit, alternatives, or the right server for a task. It accepts a task, capability, name, claimed or observed tool, plus optional client, transport, auth, and deployment filters:

```json
{
  "query": "siGit",
  "limit": 5
}
```

Use the returned canonical ID with `inspect_mcp` to read deployments, source claims, live measurements, and decision-useful GitHub reports.

Prefer HTTP? Search the same canonical index directly:

```bash
curl --get 'https://api.askpod.ai/v1/mcps' \
  --data-urlencode 'query=siGit' \
  --data-urlencode 'limit=5'
```

This listing is also available as [Markdown](/mcp/sigit.md) and structured [JSON](/mcp/sigit.json) for download or programmatic use. Prefer JSON when you need fields rather than prose.
