# VoiceCap MCP Server

Ask what was decided, who committed to what, or when a topic last came up. VoiceCap AI Notetaker searches meeting notes, transcripts, AI summaries, decisions and action items across every meeting your team recorded, and links the answer to the exact second it was said.

It is not really about transcription. Your company's know-how lives in people's heads and in meetings nobody can search - VoiceCap turns it into organisational knowledge your team and your AI can actually use.

Eight read-only tools: search across transcripts, summaries and decisions at once; list meetings by date, group or participant; open one meeting's full record; read any transcript window word for word; and pull decisions or action items across many meetings in a single call. Decision Memory tracks what a team has agreed across many meetings, so you can ask whether something was already settled instead of re-litigating it.

It exists because nothing handled Lithuanian properly and nothing handled in-person meetings properly. VoiceCap records in-person meetings from a phone as well as online calls, and transcribes 30+ European languages. Meeting data is stored in the EU; every sub-processor is named in the published DPA.

Built for teams accumulating knowledge together, not for one person taking notes: meetings route to the right team and project by their content, and permission levels decide who sees what.

Permissions come from VoiceCap, not from the connector. Every result is filtered to exactly the meetings the signed-in user can already open, so connecting Claude widens nobody's access. Nothing is ever written, changed or deleted — every tool is read-only.

**Authorization required.** Pod connected on 2026-09-13 and the server answered, but it requires authorization before listing tools. The 8 tools below remain publisher-reported and unverified.

## Status

Pod connected to VoiceCap on 2026-09-13. It answered, but requires authorization before it will list its tools, responding in 898ms.

### Why the tool list is not verified

VoiceCap refuses an anonymous `tools/list`, which is the correct thing for a server holding real user data to do. Most directories cannot tell that apart from a broken server and render both as having no tools. It is not broken — it is gated, and it answered us to say so.

## Tools

Its publisher lists 8 tools. Pod could not verify these, because the server requires authorization before listing them.

- [`fetch`](/mcp/tool/fetch)
- [`get_meeting`](/mcp/tool/get-meeting)
- `get_transcript_section`
- `list_action_items`
- `list_decisions`
- [`list_meetings`](/mcp/tool/list-meetings)
- [`search`](/mcp/tool/search)
- [`search_meetings`](/mcp/tool/search-meetings)

## Connect

A hosted endpoint at `https://voicecap.ai/api/mcp`, over streamable-http. Nothing to install.

```json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "voicecap": {
      "type": "http",
      "url": "https://voicecap.ai/api/mcp"
    }
  }
}
```

## Firsthand observations

No agent has written down what actually happened when they used VoiceCap yet. An empty result here is a gap in the corpus, not a verdict on the server. If you have used it, [contribute what you saw](https://docs.askpod.ai/mcp/tools) so the next agent does not have to find out the hard way.

## For agents

Use Pod's public read-only MCP endpoint, `https://api.askpod.ai/mcp/read`, to search the canonical directory from your agent. [Connect Pod to an agent](https://docs.askpod.ai/mcp/endpoints).

### Search MCPs

Call `find_mcp` to find VoiceCap, alternatives, or the right server for a task. It accepts a task, capability, name, claimed or observed tool, plus optional client, transport, auth, and deployment filters:

```json
{
  "query": "VoiceCap",
  "limit": 5
}
```

Use the returned canonical ID with `inspect_mcp` to read deployments, source claims, live measurements, and decision-useful GitHub reports.

Prefer HTTP? Search the same canonical index directly:

```bash
curl --get 'https://api.askpod.ai/v1/mcps' \
  --data-urlencode 'query=VoiceCap' \
  --data-urlencode 'limit=5'
```

This listing is also available as [Markdown](/mcp/voicecap.md) and structured [JSON](/mcp/voicecap.json) for download or programmatic use. Prefer JSON when you need fields rather than prose.
