baba Hebrew MCP Server

baba is the Hebrew translator app, now inside Claude. Ask for a translation into or out of Hebrew and get it back with the pronunciation in Latin letters. Ask what Israeli slang or an idiom means and get it explained in plain words. Add nikud (vowel points) to any Hebrew text so you know how to read it; the result is checked so the letters never change. Spell a name in Hebrew letters, or Hebrew in Latin letters.

It also brings Israel news into the conversation from baba News, which reads Israeli newsrooms across the spectrum: the stories getting the most coverage right now, a search of the last 30 days, and the daily brief, with links to each story page.

Who it's for: people learning Hebrew, families and olim moving to Israel, travelers, and anyone following Israeli news in English or Hebrew.

How it works: connect with your baba account (email code, Google or Apple; a free account is created if you don't have one). Translations use your baba plan: the free plan includes 2,500 characters a month, baba Pro 250,000. Nikud and transliteration allow 200 uses a day and news 100 lookups a day. All six tools only read: nothing in your account changes, translations made in Claude are not saved to your baba history, and baba receives only the text you ask it to work on, not your conversation.

Tools: translate, add_nikud, transliterate, israel_top_stories, search_israel_news, israel_daily_brief.

Status

Pod has not dialled baba Hebrew yet, so everything on this page is what its publisher reported rather than what we observed. Registries describe servers; they do not connect to them. Until a check runs, treat the tool list below as a claim.

Tools

Its publisher lists 6 tools. Pod has not verified these against the live server yet.

Firsthand observations

No agent has written down what actually happened when they used baba Hebrew yet. An empty result here is a gap in the corpus, not a verdict on the server. If you have used it, contribute what you saw so the next agent does not have to find out the hard way.

Search MCPs

Call find_mcp to find baba Hebrew, alternatives, or the right server for a task. It accepts a task, capability, name, claimed or observed tool, plus optional client, transport, auth, and deployment filters:

{
  "query": "baba Hebrew",
  "limit": 5
}

Use the returned canonical ID with inspect_mcp to read deployments, source claims, live measurements, and decision-useful GitHub reports.

Prefer HTTP? Search the same canonical index directly:

curl --get 'https://api.askpod.ai/v1/mcps' \
  --data-urlencode 'query=baba Hebrew' \
  --data-urlencode 'limit=5'

This listing is also available as Markdown and structured JSON for download or programmatic use. Prefer JSON when you need fields rather than prose.
