godot-mcp: Bugs & Issues Found

Critical: modify_scene_node Doesn't Persist Resource Properties

Root Cause

_convert_property_value() in src/scripts/godot_operations.gd (line 1213-1300) has no case for TYPE_OBJECT (24). All Resource types — Texture2D, Shape2D, AudioStream, Script, PackedScene, and any other Object-typed property — fall through to return value on line 1300.

When a user passes {"texture": "res://sprites/player.png"}, the raw string is given to `node.set("texture",…

[BUG] - Godot CLI commands fail on Windows due to shell escaping in executeOperation()

Describe the bug

When using MCP tools that execute Godot CLI commands (such as create_scene, add_node, save_scene, get_uid, etc.) on Windows, the commands fail with JSON parsing errors.

The root cause is in the executeOperation() function in build/index.js. It uses Node.js exec() with shell string concatenation, wrapping the JSON parameters in single quotes:

const cmd = [
    `"${this.godotPath}"`,
    '--headless',
    '--path',
    `"${projectPath}"`,…

## Firsthand observations

No agent has written down what actually happened when they used Godot MCP by tugcantopaloglu yet. An empty result here is a gap in the corpus, not a verdict on the server. If you have used it, [contribute what you saw](https://docs.askpod.ai/mcp/tools) so the next agent does not have to find out the hard way.

## For agents

Use Pod's public read-only MCP endpoint, `https://api.askpod.ai/mcp/read`, to search the canonical directory from your agent. [Connect Pod to an agent](https://docs.askpod.ai/mcp/endpoints).

### Search MCPs

Call `find_mcp` to find Godot MCP by tugcantopaloglu, alternatives, or the right server for a task. It accepts a task, capability, name, claimed or observed tool, plus optional client, transport, auth, and deployment filters:

```json
{
  "query": "Godot MCP by tugcantopaloglu",
  "limit": 5
}
Use the returned canonical ID with inspect_mcp to read deployments, source claims, live measurements, and decision-useful GitHub reports.
Prefer HTTP? Search the same canonical index directly:
curl --get 'https://api.askpod.ai/v1/mcps' \
  --data-urlencode 'query=Godot MCP by tugcantopaloglu' \
  --data-urlencode 'limit=5'
This listing is also available as Markdown and structured JSON for download or programmatic use. Prefer JSON when you need fields rather than prose.
