Discussion On Upstream The Sui Fork From Belobog/Movy

Hey Sui Maintainers, I'm one of the builders of the Belobog, a type-guided efficient Move fuzzing framework that finds bugs and reproduces real-world incidents of millions of dollars. We also posted a paper for review.

I'm wondering if we could have some collaboration from the Sui team because our fork has reached a state that is really hard to maintain. Each time I fork, the pain gets much stronger.

Our main fork is [here](https://github.com/wtdcode/su

Request for feedback on gRPC API on Full nodes

Hello,

Sui gRPC Full Beta is now available. Start integrating today and help us get it GA‑ready. We're looking to GA it in a ~couple of months and deprecate JSON-RPC, so please post any gRPC-related feedback in this issue.

Sui Wallet :: externally_connectable extension support

New

I'm working on a new browser extension and would like users to be able to login to their Sui wallet from the extension popup and not have to call ConnectButton from a standard browser window.

I've tried multiple configs of my V3 extension manifest, using 'externally_connectable' like so:

  "externally_connectable": {
    "matches": [
      "https://*.sui.io/*",
      "https://*.suinet.app/*",

### Sui dApp Kit: useSignAndExecuteTransaction: Do we really need a Tralnsaction object to be instantiated for argument parsing/preparing functions

## Problem/Motivation

In [Sui dApp Starter](https://github.com/kkomelin/sui-dapp-starter), I have the [useTransact](https://sui-dapp-starter.dev/docs/frontend/hooks/useTransact) hook, which works like this:

```typescript
const { transact } = useTransact()
const prepareTransaction = (packageId: string, objectId: string, name: string) => {
  const tx = new Transaction()
  tx.moveCall({
    arguments: [tx.object(objectId), tx.pure.string(name), tx.object('0x8')],
    target: `${packag
### RPC: Support calling Move function without sending a tx
This is useful for exposing the results of on-chain logic implemented in Move (e.g., price calculations), or just generally executing code without needing a local VM.
Basically, this is equivalent of `view` functions in Eth. But because Sui Move is pure, we don't (I think) have to worry about view functions that can be called in this way and non-view functions that cannot--everything is basically a view function. We could consider not allowing invocation of functions that do transfers and emi
### Update docs to reflect switch to public(script) for Sui Move entry points
Todd made enhancements in PR #1333 we should make clear in the docs:
https://github.com/MystenLabs/sui/pull/1333
He's already taken care of the code examples in the docs. We need to work together to update the instructions.
Thankfully, Xun has offered to update the tutorials (assuming programming with objects) to reflect this change. Adding him here for credit as a reviewer.
Todd says he's still making updates to the functionality, so we should wait for updates to the docs. Todd, I'm r
### Develop object focused tutorial series as codelab
Copied from slack:
from @lxfind
Sui being a object-centric chain and most people's first series of questions on how to program it will be around when to choose different types of object relationships: wrapping vs owning, collection vs bag vs vector, shared vs owned, child object reference vs child object id and etc.
We have docs describing the concepts of each and the libraries, but it's hard to think about how to really use a combination of them in practice. Ideally they want to see them us
### suix_getOwnedObjects does not return objects from formal snapshot, while sui_getObject does
## Title
suix_getOwnedObjects does not return objects from formal snapshot, while sui_getObject does
---
## Description
We are running a **Sui fullnode initialized from a formal snapshot**.
After the node finishes syncing and starts serving RPC traffic, we observe an inconsistency between object lookup APIs.
Specifically:
- `sui_getObject` returns correct data for objects that were created **before** the node started (i.e., objects assumed to be included in the formal snapshot).
- `su
### Custom indexer tutorial contains compilation errors in example code
## Steps to Reproduce Issue
Following the "Build Your First Custom Indexer" tutorial at `docs/content/guides/developer/advanced/custom-indexer.mdx` results in compilation errors.
1. Follow all steps in the tutorial exactly as written
2. Run `cargo build` after completing Step 10
3. Observe three compilation errors
## Expected Result
The tutorial code should compile successfully and the indexer should run without errors.
## Actual Result
Compilation fails with three errors:
Documentation Update Request: Capability Revocation Pattern
Issue Summary
The current Sui Move documentation on capabilities doesn't clearly explain how to implement revokable capabilities when capability objects can be transferred to other addresses. This leads developers to attempt invalid patterns that violate Sui's ownership model.
ripemd160 hash in Move
Ripemd160 Hash is a popular hash function used by Bitcoin and Ethereum. It's needed for interpreters and various smart contract that will execute Bitcoin or Ethereum functions. It's also required for the Bitcoin Node challenge by Kostas.
Implementing it in SuiMove is cumbersome.
It would be much better to expose it directly in Move from Rust.
Do not engage with any GitHub user that claims they are from Sui support and a ticket was opened for the issue. There is no such thing as a live Sui support / chat / call center, etc. Those users are bad actors and only try to attempt phising by asking users to visit malicious websites!
### Using Events page is outdated after deprecation of websocket-based JSON-RPC
After the websocket-based JSON-RPC service was [deprecated](https://github.com/MystenLabs/sui/releases/tag/mainnet-v1.28.3) and now returns a [405 Method Not Allowed](https://github.com/MystenLabs/sui/issues/18429), this page appears outdated: [Using Events](https://docs.sui.io/guides/developer/sui-101/using-events).
Could you please update this documentation with examples on how to handle events using GraphQL? Currently, there are no such examples available on this page or in the [GraphQL-RP
### Broken "Create your first package" beginner tutorial
There's at least one page missing from the [Your First Sui dApp](https://docs.sui.io/guides/developer/first-app/write-package#create-the-package) tutorial.
The code sample on the linked page ends with mention of "// Public/entry functions (introduced later in the tutorial)" but I'm fairly certain those pages aren't linked to.
I found the full example module here: https://github.com/MystenLabs/sui/blob/main/sui_programmability/examples/move_tutorial/sources/my_module.move, but not the rest
### Add Verify Signature support to TypeScript SDK
Feature Request:
A user can use the Typescript SDK to verify a transaction's signature when a multisig signature, or any other signature scheme is provided along with a transaction.
Context:
MultiSig Support for Typescript came in PR #12298
However, there is no interface to verify a multisig signature with the Typescript SDK (users must verify using the rust cli, or on some other local/remote setup).
This issue tracks support for Signature Verification in the Sui Typescript SDK.
