MCP Servers with a read tool

Every MCP server Pod knows of that exposes a read tool.

8 servers, ordered by decision readiness and adoption — GitHub stars and npm downloads where available, then reported issue volume. Pod has connected to 7 of them; the rest are publisher-reported and unverified.

GitHits

GitHits connects Claude to a version-aware index of open-source code, documentation, and package data across 12 registries (npm, PyPI, Maven, NuGet, crates.io, Go, RubyGems, Composer/Packagist, Hex, SwiftPM, vcpkg, Zig) and 27 languages. Claude reads the source code for the library version you use, not what it remembers from training. No need to clone repositories or read GitHub one raw file at a time.

Use GitHits to:

 * Understand how a library works internally: how a function is implemented, what it does under the hood, and why it behaves the way it does  * Search, read, grep, and navigate source files in packages and repositories  * Search and read package documentation, APIs, and configuration options  * Check a package’s latest version, license, dependencies, and known vulnerabilities  * Review changelogs and plan upgrades: what changed and what breaks  * Find implementation examples and prior art in open-source projects

GitHits indexes the open-source ecosystem your app depends on, not your local workspace or private code.

Figr

Bring over the UI, component code, and the thinking behind each design.

Figr is an AI product designer for teams working on existing products. It keeps your screens, design system, code, and the decisions that shaped the work together.

With the Figr connector, Claude can read that context directly inside a conversation. Share a project and Claude can:

Walk through its screens, artifacts, and source files Read the code behind any component or screen Explain why a design looks and works the way it does, including the trade-offs discussed along the way Search the project’s code and conversation history Use what it learns to write specs or create new screens that feel like part of the same product

The connector is read-only. Claude can understand and work with your Figr projects, but it can’t change them. It only has access to projects from your account.

Your prototypes, flows, code, and product context can now follow you into Claude, so you don’t have to explain everything from scratch.

Mintlify

Connect Mintlify to Claude to keep your documentation accurate and up to date without leaving your conversations. Claude can search across every page, read and edit content directly, and ship changes. Perfect for fixing outdated pages after a product change, reorganizing sections as your product grows, or drafting new content alongside the code it documents.

Pensieve

Pensieve gives Claude access to your company's shared, cited context layer. Read the company map, follow claims to their sources, and contribute knowledge through Pensieve. Sign in with your Pensieve account to choose an accessible company context.

This connector provides MCP access. For the complete setup, including Chief of Staff, Head of Product and Head of Growth skills and automatic context hooks where supported, install the Pensieve plugin. The plugin includes this connection, so new plugin users do not need a separate connector installation.

Revelica

Revelica is a continuous product discovery engine that loops strategy, execution, and learning into a single system. This connector empowers Claude and coding agents to read and write directly to your team’s workspace, keeping strategic context, user research, product bets, and discovery experiments synchronized in one shared knowledge graph.

A Revelica workspace consolidates your technical discovery stack into a unified graph:

Every request is authenticated with OAuth and scoped to the user's own workspace and individual permission. Revelica does not read your chat history, conversation summaries, or files.

Built for product managers, product leaders, and the engineering teams collaborating with modern AI coding agents. Bring continuity to your discovery workflow. Get started for free at revelica.com.

Saturation

Saturation is the financial operating system for production teams — film and TV budgeting, cost tracking, purchase orders, and payments. This connector lets Claude search and read budgets, transactions, contacts, purchase orders, and documents in a connected Saturation workspace; run read-only workspace queries (budget summaries, line items, accounts); create or update records (transactions, contacts, purchase orders, budget lines); and upload a document from a URL into the workspace for AI extraction. All access is scoped to the workspace the user connects and authenticates with OAuth.

AdLabs - Amazon Ads

AdLabs is Amazon PPC and Amazon Ads management software for sellers, brands, vendors, and agencies. This connector puts your Amazon Advertising account into the conversation: ask questions about performance, find wasted spend, and apply bulk changes without opening a dashboard or exporting a report.

What you can do:

Reporting and analysis: pull Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display, and Amazon DSP data at the campaign, ad group, keyword, product target, search term, placement, and ASIN level. Compare date ranges, filter, sort, group, and export to CSV. Metrics include spend, sales, ACOS, ROAS, CTR, CVR, CPC, and CPA.

Account audits: an 11-point account health scorecard, N-gram search term analysis to find aggregate waste, and brand spend leak detection for brand keywords running in non-brand campaigns.

Optimization: run the AdLabs bid optimizer (Reduce ACOS, Balanced, or Increase Sales), tune placement modifiers, and manage dayparting schedules built on 7x24 hourly bid multipliers.

Bulk changes: create or pause keywords and product targets, add negative keywords, harvest winning search terms into new targets, adjust bids and budgets, apply tags, and build white-label dashboards. Writes are previewed before they run, logged with timestamps, and reversible.

Amazon Marketing Cloud: run and schedule AMC SQL queries and manage AMC audiences, where AMC is connected to the profile in AdLabs.

Example prompts

"Audit my Amazon Ads account and tell me what to fix first." "Which keywords spent over $50 with no sales in the last 14 days?" "Pause keywords above 80% ACOS with zero conversions." "What search terms should I harvest into exact match?" "Compare Sponsored Products spend by campaign this month against last month."

You need an AdLabs account with at least one Amazon Advertising profile connected. A free plan is available.

Display

Display gives Claude a place to publish its work – reports, specs, dashboards, prototypes and decks – as HTML or Markdown doc.

Each document and artifact is a page at its own URL. Your team opens it with the Google or Microsoft account they already use, or with a one-time password. You choose who can see each doc: anyone with the link, your organization, or only the people you invite.

Reviewers comment directly on the page. Claude reads the comments, edits the source and publishes the next version at the same URL. Every version and comment stays with the artifact, and each change shows who made it – you, or Claude on your behalf.

With this connector, Claude can:

Owners and Admins can also manage members, the organization logo and verified email domains, where their plan includes them.

Each call uses the organization and permissions you choose when you connect. Private artifacts stay visible only to their creator and the people they invite. The connector cannot change your plan or billing.
