Summary

When the mcp SDK resolves to 2.x, open-notebook-mcp crashes on startup and exposes no tools. The import mcp.server.fastmcp.FastMCP fails because FastMCP moved/was renamed in mcp 2.x:

ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'mcp.server.fastmcp'

This looks like the same root cause as #6 — there the newer FastMCP surfaces as FastMCP.run() got an unexpected keyword argument 'host'.

Workaround

Pin the SDK at launch:

uvx --with 'mcp<2' open-notebook-mcp…
