Patent Bear MCP Server

Patent Bear connects your assistant to the patent record: US and European patents and published applications in full text, prosecution histories and examiner office actions, citations and families, recorded assignments and maintenance-fee standing, FDA Orange Book listings, and US court decisions. Its tools search by owner, inventor, classification and date window, in single results or in bulk for a landscape; retrieve source passages with column-and-line cites; return drawing sheets as images; find claim-level similar patents; read a patent-definitions dictionary and open-access journal articles; and build drafts from the record as Word documents, among them a Definitions section from the client's own earlier filings, an Information Disclosure Statement from a pasted list, and a double-patenting chart. Check quotations and arguments against source passages, then save patents, opinions, highlights, analyses, definitions, notes and documents to your Library and accessible matters.

Requests and submitted passages reach Patent Bear; saved work is stored in your account, and matter notes are visible to authorized members. Retrieval results are interpreted by your chosen AI service. Patent Bear analyses also run from the connector: Prior Art, Disclosure, Charting, Citations, Sequence, Chemistry, Clearance and Invention. They use our infrastructure and model providers and consume account credits (structured searches are included on higher plans); every run is confirmed first: the first call returns what will run and what it costs, and nothing starts until you confirm. Court outcomes and holdings are a language model's read of each decision, marked as signals to confirm against the court's own words. Source coverage and citation precision vary; tools flag unavailable and approximate evidence, and work product requires attorney review. The free plan includes a monthly allowance of connector requests; paid plans add saving, drafting and expanded access.
